OVERVIEW (PPGI & PPGL)

DANA STEEL is the leading manufacturer & exporter of high quality Pre Painted Galvanized(PPGI) & Pre Painted Aluzinc (PPAZ |PPGL) Steel as per International Standards & Specifications. A most advanced state-of- the-art continuous coil coating line is used to produce the most premium quality of Prepainted Galvanized (PPGI) and Prepainted aluzinc(PPAZ | PPGL) coils . It involves unwinding of skin-passed Galvanized/Aluzinc coils, cleaning / brushing, rinsing, degreasing, chemical pre-treatment consisting of surface conditioning, conversion coating, chromating and drying.

The treated strip surface is then coated with three layers of organic coatings: Primer, Top coat and Back coat in three-stage roll-coating stations and is oven-cured at each stage. One major advantage of this process line is its flexibility which allows it to be used for othercoats like SMP, SDP, PVDF and Lamination with Textured Finish in addition to Regular Modified Polyesters. The line also has the facility to laminate different designs of film on steel
surface, after primary coating.

Below is the Chart of our Continuous Color Coating Line – CCL Process Capabilities, which shows the thickness, width, weight ranges and different finishes of Pre Painted Galvanized (PPGI) & Pre Painted Aluzinc((PPAZ/PPGL) Steel Coils & Sheets, which are manufactured in our factory in Dubai UAE.These merits are also guaranteed by ensuring that all finished products pass through a series of stringent tests in DANA Steel’s in-House Laboratory that is equipped with the latest quality assurance equipment.

The products manufactured by our State of the Art CCL are:-
* Prepainted GALVANIZED (PPGI) coils with Coating as per ASTM A755/A755M -18 and base material per ASTM A653/ JIS G3312/ EN 10346 Standards.
* Prepainted ALUZINC (PPGL | PPAZ) Coils with Coating as per ASTM A755/A755M-18 and base material as per ASTM A792 / JIS G3321/ EN 10346 Standards.

DANA CONTINUOUS COIL COATING SYSTEMS

Coil coating is a continuous and highly automated process for coating metal before fabrication. In one continuous process both the top and bottom sides are cleaned, chemically treated, primed, oven cured, top coated, oven cured again, rewound and packaged.

Coil coating provides beautiful topcoats, durable surfaces, innovative applications, green benefits, and cost savings as compared to other substrates and other coating options.

Coating systems supplied as per the specification consist of a Primer coat covered by various types and thicknesses of top coats. The combination of primer and top coat is classed as either a two- coat thin-film system or as a multi-coat (two or more) thick-film system.

Typical top-coating materials:

  • EPOXY
  • REGULAR MODIFIED POLYESTER (RMP)
  • SILICON MODIFIED POLYESTER (SMP)
  • HIGH DURABLE POLYESTER (HDP)
  • PVDF/PVF2(Poly vinylidene Fluoride)
  • PLASTISOL
  • PUPA / ARS
  • Anti-Bacterial
  • Self-Cleaning/ Anti Dust
  • Wrinkle Finish Anti Skidding
